Frequently Asked Questions

How do I create PDF files?

When applying to Student Projects Fund you will be asked to upload a number of documents in Adobe PDF format. If you plan to use Microsoft Word or a similar program to create these documents, you will most likely need additional software such as Adobe Acrobat Professional (commercial) or CutePDF Writer (free) to convert them to Adobe PDF.

To assist you in converting your documents to PDF, we have written a short helpful guide on creating PDF documents with CutePDF. If you own Acrobat Professional, or a different PDF-creating software, please consult your software's usage documentation.

How do I send transcripts electronically?

We strongly recommend submitting the transcripts electronically, as this ensures your application will be complete by the deadline, and we will have immediate access to it as soon as it is complete.

As no Croatian university provides electronic transcripts, you will need to scan paper copies using a scanner. If your scanning software supports saving the scan results directly in PDF format, we advise you to do so.

If not, you will need to convert the scanned images to PSF. We recommend you do the conversion by importing a scanned image in Microsoft Word, stretching it to fit the entire page, and converting the document to PDF as described in here. This is to ensure that the final PDF document's page size will correspond to standard US Letter (8"x11.5") or ISO A4 format.
